I live on a dairy farm about a mile from my nearest neighbor. We have an old spring house that is actually filled by natural springs that come from the ground and are directed into the building.there is a Concrete framework built into the floor which used to hold the water to cool the milk in cans.

These cans have long since been replaced by more modern equipment so now serve a more decorative
purpose. With a cushion on top they make cute stools in a country kitchen.

Handmade quilts are one of the things
that speak to me of "country". Living near an Amish community I have access to some beautiful ones!
I enjoy using them on beds or as wallhangings to liven up a room. They really are a form of art.
